On Sunday 21st of October we remembered the men from the 5 villages who died in WW1. There was a tribute to each man, a display on the Cheshire regiment and Cheshire military museum and stories of family members from local residents. Following a short play staged by those seen in this photo the Revd Canon Steve Mansfield said a few words and we all tucked into some afternoon tea. It was a very moving afternoon enjoyed by all ages. All the idea of Ray Moorcroft. It was a great event. A donation will now be made to the Armed Forces Covenant Trust. I'm sure the families of all the men who died would be pleased that we are remembering them 100 on from armistice day.
Another successful village lunch. 19 people enjoyed cottage pie followed by apple crumble, with 5 takeaways delivered to people who could not make it.
